Sudbury

One of those classic New England towns that feels both peaceful and deeply rooted in history.

Sudbury is one of those classic New England towns that feels both peaceful and deeply rooted in history. About 25 miles west of Boston, it’s known for its beautiful homes, top-rated schools, and a landscape filled with conservation land, winding roads, and quiet neighborhoods that offer plenty of space to breathe. Sudbury has miles of trails, beloved spots like the Wayside Inn and Grist Mill, strong community pride, and a relaxed, country-like atmosphere.

Sudbury also has a few great stories tucked into its past—including the famous legend of Babe Ruth’s piano. As the tale goes, the baseball legend once lived on the edge of Willis Pond, and during a party he and some friends pushed an upright piano out onto the ice... where it eventually fell through and sank to the bottom. Over the years, locals have tried to find it, turning the story into a fun, cherished bit of Sudbury folklore that adds to the town’s charm.
